Clinical practice

Effective therapy helps you understand what is compromising your ability to function to the best of your ability; resulting in improved relationships, a reduction in self-defeating behaviors or patterns, and an increased capacity to manage life transitions and lead a healthier life. My style is non-judgmental, yet I view active discussion as central to the therapeutic process.  I utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions, including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, interpersonal awareness, and supportive psychotherapy.

I work with individuals facing various life transitions, including:

-Changes in relationship status (e.g., marriage, separation, divorce)

-Pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum

-Transition to college or work

-Health issues

-Career or job change

-Retirement

-Loss related to death of family/friends

I have experience working with individuals with a variety of issues, including:
